To save time writing a text message, you can use text messaging templates with pre-written text. The templates insert the patient's first name and your practice's name and phone number as applicable. If you need to, you can make minor changes to the pre-written text before sending it.
To use text templates
1. Click the Two-way Text button on the Navigation bar.
2. Click the text message conversation that you want to reply to.
3. Under Templates, position your mouse pointer over each template to preview them.
4. Click the template you want to use.
5. If desired, click inside the text box to edit the template text.
Note: Messages have a 160-character limit for phone numbers within the US and a 136-character limit for phone numbers in Canada.
6. Click Send Message.
7. Click the Back button in the top-left corner to return to the main tab of two-way text messaging.
