Patient Engage allows your patients to specify how and when they will receive email and text messages from your office.
To set patient communication preferences
2. In the to left of the window, type the patient's name in the Search patients box.
3. Click the link for the patient whose preferences you want to configure.
4. Scroll down to the Communication Preferences section and configure the following options:
Emails
· Status - Tells you whether the patient has opted in or out of receiving email messages from Patient Engage.
Note: Every patient with a valid email address on file is automatically opted in to receive Patient Engage email messages.
· Subscriptions - Tells you what specific email communications your patient is or is not currently receiving.
· Format - Tells you what format the email communications are sent in. Patient Engage defaults to HTML for all email communications.
Text Messages
· Status - Tells you whether the patient has opted in or out of receiving email messages from Patient Engage.
Notes:
· Every patient with a valid email address on file is automatically opted in to receive Patient Engage email messages.
· Canadian clients must opt in manually to receive our text messages.
· Subscriptions - Tells you what specific text message communications your patient is or is not currently receiving.
Voice
· Status - Tells you whether the patient has opted in or out of receiving voice messages from Patient Engage. Voice communication will be sent to this patient if this patient is offline, has a phone number to dial, and has not opted out of voice communication. A patient is offline if the patient will not receive email communication and will not receive text communication. A customer will not receive email/text communication if the patient has been opted out of email/text communication or does not have an email address or cell phone to deliver communication to.
Note: Communication preferences are only available when Voice reminders are turned On.
Postcards
· Status - Tells you whether the patient has opted in or out of receiving postcard messages from Patient Engage. This section also shows you the address Patient Engage uses when sending postcards.
