Ledger preferences

You can set up the preferences for the Ledger.

To set up the preferences

1.   From the Utilities menu, click Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box appears.

2.   On the Operation tab, set up the following options:

General Operations

·        Show UCR on ledger, treatment plans - Select this check box to display the UCR fees associated with procedures.

Locations

·        Transactions - Select the method by which to determine the default location for transactions: by the workstation posting the transaction or by the location of a patient's chart.

·        Enable Location Monitor - Select this check box to have a message appear when you are posting transactions if a provider and/or location selected for the transaction is different than the workstation that the transaction is being posted from.

Security

·        No Deletions/Edits in prior months for log on codes less than - Enter the minimum user access level that permits deleting or editing transactions in prior months.

·        Restrict deletions to days prior to today for log on codes less than - Enter the minimum user access level that permits deleting transactions prior to the current date.

·        No Posing in prior months for log on codes less than - Enter the minimum user access level that permits posting transactions in prior months.

·        Restrict editing to days prior to today for log on codes less than - Enter the minimum user access level that permits editing transactions prior to the current date.

·        Create reversing entries for edits / deletes - Select this check box if you want entries to be created automatically in Ledgers when deletions are made to transactions.

·        Hide display of transfers on ledger - Select this check box if you want to allow transfers between patients and insurance carriers to be shown or hidden on patients' ledgers by the status of a check box on the Ledger tab of the Patient Information Center. With this check box clear, transfers will always appear in ledgers.

3. Click Ok.
