Adding or editing recalls

To add a recall to the list under Recalls, click the Add icon to open the Recall Types Table dialog box, from which you can select and paste in the recall type. See "Recall types" for information on setting up recall types.

Also, you can edit the following recall information for each recall attached to the patient under Recalls:

·        Recall Type - This is the name of the recall that is assigned to the patient. The Primary recall type is the default. To add another recall to this patient, click Add to open the Recall Type Table dialog box, from which you can select and paste in a recall type. To remove a recall type from the patient, select the desired recall to delete, and then click Delete. The number of recall types a patient can have is unlimited.

·        Log - Click this button to open the Recall Notices Log dialog box, which shows the dates recall reminders were sent, the type of reminders (due, overdue, or appointed) sent, total notices/labels sent, and total number of notices since the patient's last appointment. You can click the remove on any row to delete that item from the log.

·        Frequency - The frequency of recall both in this office and an overall frequency (if shared with another office) is displayed:

·        Overall - The frequency between recall visits for this office and any other office that shares this recall. The default frequency value is set up in the Preferences dialog box but can be changed by entering a different number in the corresponding field and selecting days, weeks, months, or years from the corresponding list. You can set the frequency to zero if this patient is not to be recalled.

·        This office - The recall frequency for the patient's recall appointments when visiting your office. The default frequency value is set up in the Preferences dialog box but can be changed by entering a different number in the corresponding field and selecting days, weeks, months, or years from the corresponding list. You can set the frequency to zero if this patient is not to be recalled.

·        Dates - The dates of the patient's last recall appointment and next scheduled recall appointment are displayed in the Last and Next fields.

·        Alternate Recalls Referred to - Select an alternate co-therapist that shares the recall for the patient with your office. If a co-therapist has not been selected on the General tab of the patient's Patient Information Center, the Alternate Recalls Referred to list will be blank.

·        # of Instances Posted - The number of times a procedure with this recall type has been billed for the patient is displayed.
