Adding EHR narrative addenda

You can only add an addendum to one narrative at a time, and that narrative must be locked. You cannot add an addendum to an addendum, but you can add as many addenda to a narrative as you want.

To add an addendum to an existing locked EHR narrative

1.   In the EHR Narratives window, leave the Show Addendums check box selected to allow addenda to be viewed in the list of EHR narratives. Or, clear this check box to exclude addenda from being viewed.

2.   Select the locked EHR narrative that you want to add an addendum to.

3.   Click Addendum. This button is available only if a locked narrative is selected.

A new item is inserted below the EHR narrative that the addendum pertains to, with the same subject and indented slightly. Then, the EHR Narrative window appears so that you can compose the addendum.
