Change DX Setting on All Insurance Profiles

With this utility, you can change the diagnostic coding system that is selected for every insurance profile to ICD-9 or ICD-10.

Important: Before running this utility, make sure no one is using OMSVision because, if an insurance profile is being accessed while the utility is running, the utility will become locked and not continue. Also, this utility may take a long time to run, depending on the number of insurance profiles that need to be modified in your database.

To change the diagnostic coding system for all insurance profiles

From the Report menu, point to Insurance, and then click Update DX on All Profiles.

The Change DX Setting on All Insurance Profiles dialog box appears.

Select one of the following options:

Change All Profiles to Use ICD-10 - This will change the diagnostic coding system to ICD-10 for all insurance profiles that do not have "None" specified. With this option selected, in the Effective date field, enter the date that the inclusion of ICD-10 codes will begin for the affected insurance profiles.

Change All Profiles to Use ICD-9 - This will change the diagnostic coding system to ICD-9 for all insurance profiles that do not have "None" specified.

Note: Only the insurance profiles that have one or the other diagnostic coding system selected will be affected by this utility. Those profiles with "None" selected as the diagnostic coding system will not be affected.

Click OK.
