Estimator table

The estimator allows you to manage insurance contracted rates and code-specific settings for insurance plans.

To access an estimator table

In the Insurance Profiles window, do one of the following:

Select a profile, and then click Estimator.

Select a profile, click edit, and then click the Estimator button on the Estimates - Estimator tab.

If a profile is part of a UCR group, select that profile, click UCR Grp, select a UCR Group, and then click Allowables.

The Estimator Table window provides the following options:

Add – Click to add a new procedure into the estimator table.

Delete – Click to delete the selected code from the estimator table.

Edit – Click to edit the settings for the selected procedure code.

Clear – Click to remove ALL codes from this estimator table.

Import – Click to import procedure codes from the fee schedule table or from a .txt (tab-delimited) file.

Export – Click to export this estimator table to another profile's estimator table.

Profiles – Click to return to the Insurance Profiles window.

UCR Synch – Click to sync estimator tables for ALL profiles linked to the UCR Group attached to this estimator's insurance profile. The synch copies the codes and allowables to the other estimator tables and then sets the "estimate" to the percent of that procedure type set in the respective profile. The difference between the allowable and the estimate would then be the patient estimate.

Note: This setting is rarely used because of the Calculate percent of allowable option in the profile's settings. This setting is outside of the scope of this guide because of its rarity of use.

Batch Edit – Click to enter or update multiple codes at one time; however, this feature only allows the following limited information to be entered: Code, Provider, Allowable, and Estimate.
