Setting up alarms

You can change the monitor's alarm thresholds at both the low and high end.

To set up the Vital Signs Monitor alarms

1.   After starting the Vital Signs Monitor Client, from the Setup menu, click Low/High Alarms, and choose one of the following:

·       Pediatric

·       Adult

·       Neonatal

The Low/High Alarms dialog box appears (based on the selected patient type).

2.   Make any desired adjustments in the Low or High columns, pressing the Tab key after each entry.

Note: To turn a low or high alarm off, with the current value selected, press Delete or Backspace. The entry is replaced with ---.

3.   When finished, click OK.

4.   Close and restart the monitor for the changes to take affect.
