Adding and editing prescription categories
You can assign prescriptions to categories that you create. You cannot change the default system category. You can add and edit other prescription categories as needed.
To add or edit a prescription category
1. From the File menu, point to Codes and Lists > Medical Codes, and then click Prescriptions.
The Medical Prescriptions Table window appears.
2. Click Categories.
The Prescription Categories window appears.
3. Do one of the following:
· To add a prescription category, click Add.
· To edit an existing prescription category, select a prescription category, and then click Edit.
The Edit Prescription Category dialog box appears.
4. Set up the following options:
· Category Name - Type the category name. This field has a limit of 30 characters.
· Comments - Type any comments regarding the prescription category.
5. Click OK.
