General tab preferences
You can set up the preferences for the Patient Information Center.
To set up the preferences
1. From the Utilities menu, click Preferences.
The Preferences dialog box appears.
2. On the Operation tab, set up the following options:
· General Operations
· Perform CapFirst Conversion? - Select this check box to automatically convert patient names and addresses you enter to start with a capital letter. Clear this check box if you want to enter information in all upper case letters (with Caps Lock activated on your keyboard).
· Security
· Allow activating/inactivating of patients for log on levels greater than - Set the minimum user access level that permits a patient to be inactivated or activated.
· PIC
· Lock Patient Number once assigned/entered - Specify whether or not you want to allow a patient's patient number to be changed after it is entered on the General tab of the Patient Information Center.
· Prompt to add new Medication to Rx master list - When this option is selected, a message appears each time a new medication is entered.
· Prompt to add new Rx to Rx master list - When this option is selected, a message appears each time a new prescription is entered.
· Ask to Delete Family Members - With this option is selected, if you delete the insurance for a family member from the Patient Information Center, a message appears asking if you want to delete the family member's insurance information.
· Use color on header bars - When this option is selected, headers for the different sections appear in different colors (as they did by default prior to version 18.0).
3. On the Print Defaults tab, to have a referral slip to a co-therapist be added automatically to a patient's Document Center when the referral is attached to that patient's record, select the Save Co-Therapist referral slip to the document center check box.
4. Click Ok.
