Adding EHR anesthesia templates to treatment templates

You can add an EHR anesthesia template to a treatment template so that when a treatment template is used, the assigned anesthesia template is automatically used as well.

To add an anesthesia template to a treatment template

1.   From the File menu, point to Codes and Lists > EHR Templates, and then click Treatment.

The Treatment Templates window appears.

2.   Select the treatment template that you want to attach an anesthesia template to.

3.   Click Anesthesia.

The Anesthesia Templates dialog box appears.

4.   Click Add to add an item.

5.   Select the desired anesthesia template from the list.

6.   Type the number of minutes this item will start following the item above it, if any.

7.   Type the number of minutes after the starting time for this item.

8.   Select each item, in turn, and click the Sort Order up and down arrows to arrange each item in the list.

9.   Repeat steps 4 - 8 for any other items that you want to add. You can click the trash can button next to an item that you want to delete.

10. When you are finished, close the Anesthesia Templates dialog box.
