Creating common note categories

Before you create a common note, you must create the note category to which the note will be assigned. Note categories allow you to keep your common notes organized. Once a category has been created, it cannot be deleted.

To create a common note category

1.   On the Task pane of the hard tissue or periodontal chart, click View.

The Notes: List section appears.

2.   From the Notes menu, select Edit Manual Notes.

The Notes: Common Notes section replaces the Notes: List section.

3.   Click Add Category.

The Add Category dialog box appears.

4.   Type the name of the category.

5.   Click OK.

In the Notes: Common Notes section, the new category appear in the Categories list box.
