Setting up general preferences

You can set up general preferences for electronic and printed claims.

To set up general preferences

1.   From the Report menu, point to Insurance, and then click Canadian Claims.

The Canadian Claims window appears.

2.   On the Control Panel, under Setup, click the Preferences link.

The Preferences tab appears.

3.   Set up the following options:

·       Electronic

·        Program - Select ICA or CCD.

·        Mode - Leave Production selected (unless you only want to test the sending of claims; then, select Test).

·        Verify Connection - Select this check box so that, after you finish posting treatment plans or charges, a message will appear that asks you to confirm that you want to proceed with the sending of the electronic pre-determination or claim (if one was created). With this check box clear, the message will not appear.

·        Printed - Select this check box to have sections 2 and 3 appear on claims and pre-determinations. With this check box clear, these sections will not appear.

4.   Click the Save button .
