Calling patients automatically
You can dial a phone number automatically or view a patient’s phone number.
Note: You must install a modem and configure it properly in Windows in order for automatic calling to work.
To call a patient automatically
1. Select a patient with an appointment from the Schedule.
2. In the Schedule toolbar, click the Auto Dial button.
The Auto Dial dialog box appears.
3. Do one of the following:
· Click the phone number that you want to dial.
· Type a phone number in the text box, and then click Dial.
4. Click Dial.
While the number is being connected, you are prompted to pick up the phone.
5. If you want, type a note concerning the call in the Note text box.
A phone call entry is added to Contacts for the patient.
