Joining employers

Joining employers merges two employers into one and moves all employees from the “source” employer to the selected “destination” employer. With Easy Dental, you can compile and maintain a database of employers so you only need to enter employer information once. After you enter an employer's information, you can then select a patient's employer in the Patients module.

Managing employer information from a central location is also helpful in preventing duplicate employer entries. To learn more, click the following links:

To join employers

1.   Close Easy Dental on all computers, except the computer that you are working on.

2.   In the Patient Banner, click the Settings button.

The Settings dialog box appears.

3.   Click Maintenance, and then click Employer Maintenance.

The Employer Maintenance dialog box appears.

4.   Click Join Employers.

The Join Employers dialog box appears.

5.   Click the Source Employer search button, select the employer that you want to join to the destination employer, and then click OK.

6.   Click the Destination Employer search button, select the destination employer that you want to join the source employer to, and then click OK.

7.   Click Join after you have selected the appropriate source and destination employers.

A message appears stating that all employees from the source employer will be moved to the destination employer.

8.   To continue, click Yes.

A message appears stating either that the employers have been successfully joined or that no patients were assigned to the source employer.
