Setting paths

When you select the Paths tab, you can view the workstation's name, select a database server, open the Common Directory and Letter Template Path folders, set the EZPort Path, and switch to the Sample database.

Note: In previous versions of Easy Dental, the Sample database was called the Tutor database. The Sample database is a training tool that you can use to tutor yourself and your employees on how to use Easy Dental without affecting your practice's “live” database. For more information, click Switching to the sample database.

To set a path

1.   In the Patient Banner, click the Settings button.

The Settings dialog box appears.

2.   Click Maintenance, and then click Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box appears.

3.   To select a database server, click Select Server.

The Select Server dialog box appears.

4.   Select the appropriate server from the list, and then click OK.

Note: If the appropriate server does not appear in the list, click Set Manually. In the Easy Dental Manual Select dialog box, type the server's name in the Server Name text box, and then click OK.

5.   To open a folder or change a path, click the appropriate button.

Note: If you change a path, you must restart Easy Dental.

6.   To save the settings, click OK.
