Adding operatories

Easy Dental comes pre-set with the following default operatories: OP-1, OP-2, and OP-3. You can add, edit, and delete operatories.

Important: We do not recommend deleting operatories because they may be attached to a provider or an appointment. Deleting operatories that have providers or appointments attached to them can corrupt data.

To add an operatory

1.   In the Patient Banner, click the Settings button.

The Settings dialog box appears.

2.   In the Practice Setup list, click Practice Resource Setup.

The Practice Resources dialog box appears.

3.   Under Operatories, click New.

The Operatory Information dialog box appears.

4.   Type the operatory ID and title in the corresponding fields.

Note: Each operatory ID is limited to four alphanumeric characters and must be unique. Only the operatory ID displays when you schedule appointments. The operatory ID displays in all Easy Dental modules where necessary. The operatories appear in alphabetical order according to their ID. Once you add an operatory, you cannot change the ID.

5.   To add the operatory, click OK.
