Creating capitation plans
You must create capitation plans as individual insurance plans in the database. If the insurance plan is in the database, you can edit it according to the following specifications. If it does not exist, create a new insurance plan, entering in the carrier name, address, and so on.
To create a capitation plan
1. Use Quick Search or Advanced Search to select the patient you want to create a capitation plan for.
2. Click the Insurance tab.
The selected patient's insurance information appears.
3. Click the link to the insurance carrier.
The Edit Insurance Plan Information dialog box appears.
4. Type a carrier name, address, and any other appropriate information.
5. To attach a fee schedule, click the Down arrow, and then select the fee schedule corresponding to the plan you are creating from the list:

· 2. Aetna –
· 3. BC/BS –
· 4. Cigna –
· 5. OrlSurg –
6. From the list, select the fee schedule that corresponds to the plan you are creating, and then click OK.
7. Set Bill To Dental Insurance to No, and then click OK.
Note: You do not need to set up or edit the coverage table.
