Assigning providers using Advanced Search

Every new patient must have a primary provider. You can use the Advanced Search feature to assign a provider to a new patient.

To assign a provider using Advanced Search

1.   In the Patient Banner, click the Create New Patient icon, and then click New Family.

The Add New Patient dialog box appears.

2.   To assign a provider to the new patient, under Primary provider, click the Advanced Search icon.

The Select Provider dialog box appears.

3.   Select the provider you want to assign to the new patient, and then click Select.

The selected provider's name appears in the Add New Patient dialog box.
