Viewing invalidated conditions or diagnoses

You can hide or display invalidated conditions and diagnoses. When a condition is corrected or no longer exists, you can invalidate the condition (instead of deleting it) to keep an accurate record. From the View Conditions/Diagnoses Setup dialog box, you can choose when you want invalidated conditions to be displayed.

To view invalidated conditions or diagnoses

1.   Select a patient.

2.   In the Chart toolbar, click View Conditions/Diagnoses.

The View Conditions/Diagnoses Setup dialog box appears.

 

3.   Select the option that you want to use to view invalidated conditions/diagnoses.

·        View Existing - Displays invalidated conditions when you select Existing from View Options.

·        View Conditions - Displays invalidated conditions when you select TX Plan/Conditions from View Options.

·        Do not display Invalidated Conditions/Diagnoses - Hides invalidated conditions in progress notes, regardless of the view options selected.

4. Click OK.
