What's new in Easy Dental 11.4?
Easy Dental 11.4 contains the following enhancements and new features:
· ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM – Easy Dental now supports the ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes. However, Easy Dental does not come pre-loaded with the ICD-9-CM or ICD-10-CM codes. They are available for download free of cost from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd/icd10cm.htm). But, you must add the codes manually. You can get information on the codes and their descriptions using reference books provided by the AMA. Please contact your local chapter of the AMA for assistance. You can edit the codes to better serve the needs of your office.
· Default Signature on File – The Assignment of Benefits and Release of Information options were added to the Preferences dialog box. Selecting Assignment of Benefits allows an insurance carrier to send payment directly to your practice instead of to your patient. Selecting Release of Information allows your office to share a patient's information with his or her insurance carrier. Selecting this option also indicates that the patient's signature is on file for electronic and printed claims and does not have to sign printed claim forms.
· Sample database – Switching in and out of the Sample (Tutor) database is much easier than before. You can now make the switch by selecting the Switch to Sample Database option in the Preferences dialog box, and then closing and re-opening Easy Dental. You can switch back to your practice's live database by closing Easy Dental.
· EasyMobile – Easy Dental no longer supports EasyMobile.
