On the History tab, you can view a history of attachments that were previously sent to payers.
To view the attachment history
1. In the main EDS Bridge window, click the History tab.
Note: The History tab appears in the EDS Bridge window only if the Show History Tab option is selected on the Features tab in the Configuration Settings dialog box.
2. Next to Location, select the Location whose attachment histories you want to see (or select All to search all locations).
3. You can further refine your search using any of the following search criteria:
· First Name - Type the patient's first name (or a few letters) to search for first names that match your text.
· Last Name - Type the patient's last name (or a minimum of three letters) to search for last names that match your text.
· Processed/Serviced Date - Select one of these options, and then specify the date range you want to search for in the From and To boxes.
4. Click Search.
When the search has finished, your results appear in the Claims list.
Tip: To sort the list by a particular data type (such as Patient, Payer Name, Serviced date, Processed date, Amount, or Provider), click that column header.
5. Select the attachment whose history you want to view, and the claim history appears under Procedures, with the claim's procedure codes, description, and quad/tooth numbers.
Note: If the selected claim has attachments, the attachment information appears under Attachments.
Tip: In some cases, a payer may contact your office to say they didn't receive an attachment when you did, in fact, send the attachment(s). It's helpful to look up the claim and associated attachment IDs in history to share with the payer.
