You can view the average probing depth and the lowest probing depth for each sextant of an exam. A full mouth charting of pocket depths must be entered previous to referencing the PSR. Since the PSR is derived by averaging the pocket depth measurements for each sextant, incomplete entries for a sextant will result in an inaccurate PSR.
To view the perio screening score for an exam
In Perio Chart, view the exam that you want to see the PSR for.
On the Perio menu, click Perio Score.
The Perio Screening Summary dialog box appears and displays the PSR information for the current exam.
The following scores are presented:
Average Probing Depth - For each sextant, the average depths of all the sites probed in that sextant (rounded to the nearest whole number) are displayed.
Lowest Probing Depth - For each sextant, the highest measurement of all the sites probed in that sextant (rounded to the nearest whole number) is displayed.
When you are finished viewing the scores, click Close.
