To attach digital X-ray images that were acquired using MiPACS to insurance claims, you must first export those images from MiPACS and then import them into the Document Center.
Note: This topic is intended for Indian Health Service facilities only.
To export an image from MiPACS
In the MiPACS Dental Enterprise Viewer window, locate and select an image.
With the image selected, from the Image menu, click Export Image.
The Export Image(s)/image card dialog box appears.
In the Folder box, enter the destination folder on the correct EDR server where you want to save a copy of the image: \\[EDR server name]\Doc_Center\MiPACS Export\[patient Name_ description_date].
Note: Replace [EDR server name] with a server name. Replace [patient Name_ description_date] with a folder name, such as JohnDoe_PA8_080821.
Set up the other options as needed, and then click OK.
Now, you can import the exported image into the patient’s Document Center. For information on how to do this, see the topic about importing MiPACS Images.
Note: After you import the image into the patient’s Document Center, you will delete the image that you exported from MiPACS.
