Multi-Code List

The Multi-Code List is a list of the multi-codes that exist in your Dentrix Enterprise database and their corresponding details.

Why:

To ensure that treatment-planning services that require multiple steps/appointments (for example, dentures) have multi-codes that have been set up properly, to ensure that each multi-code consists of the correct procedure codes, and to ensure that each multi-code reserves the correct length of time in the Appointment Book

When:

After Dentrix Enterprise setup, and as needed

Note: Generating a report in Office Manager requires the "Reports" security right. Viewing or printing a report in the Batch Processor requires the "Batch Processor, Print/Display Reports" security right.

To generate the Multi-Code List

In Office Manager, on the Reports menu, point to Reference, and then click Multi-Code List.

Notes:

Whether the reference reports appear on the menu or not is determined by a setting.

Also, this option is available only if your user account has been granted the "Reports" security right.

The Multi-Code List dialog box appears.

Set up the following options:

Report Date - By default, today's date appears in the box, but you can enter a different date. The specified date appears at the top of the report.

Select Multi-Code - To specify which multi-codes appear on the report, do one of the following:

To include all multi-codes, leave <ALL> entered for both From and To.

To include a specific range of multi-codes, select the starting multi-code (numerically by code) of the range for From and the ending multi-code of the range for To.

To include a specific multi-code, select the same multi-code for From and To.

To include an open-ended range of multi-codes, select a multi-code for either From or To, and leave <ALL> entered for the other option.

To select a multi-code for From or To, do the following:

Click the corresponding search button .

The Multi-Code List dialog appears.

In the list, select the correct multi-code.

Click OK.

List Included Dental Diagnostic - To include Dental Diagnostic Codes on the list.

Include Inactive Codes - To include multi-codes that have been inactivated.

Click OK to send the report to the Batch Processor.

Preview and then print the report, or print the report without previewing it.

Important information this report provides

The following information for each multi-code appears:

Codes - The code.

Description - The description.

Units - The units of time that are reserved for appointments.

Code Type - The type (Standard or Bridge).

Enabled - Whether the multi-code is active or not.

Proc/Diag and Description - The associated ADA Procedure Codes and/or Dental Diagnostic Codes and their corresponding descriptions.

Note: As of the 2004 ADA code update, the data in the Permanent column is no longer relevant. All codes should have a "No."
