Database Backup and Restore

It is important to back up and restore a Dentrix Enterprise database as part of a data recovery plan.

You can obtain any script files mentioned from a Support representative.

Do not attempt to use any scripts mentioned without consent or guidance from a Support representative.

The SQL server executes scripts as the user the service is running as. You specify this during the install of an instance, or you can edit it in services.msc. If it is running as Local System, local system does not have rights to a network location on a domain to log in. If you encounter issues with rights when running the scripts, change your SQL service to run as a user that has rights to the network location, or contact your network administrator to have a user created for you.
