Deleting procedures

You can delete treatment-planned procedures as needed.

Notes:

Viewing and then deleting a planned procedure requires the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right (to view planned treatment) and the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right (to delete planned treatment).

Quickly deleting one or more planned procedures by right-clicking requires the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right.

Quickly deleting one or more planned procedures by clicking a button requires the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right.

To delete procedures

In Treatment Planner, do one of following:

To view and then delete a planned procedure, do the following:

In the Treatment Plan Case Setup section of the Navigation panel, open the folder of a case with procedures, and then double-click the treatment-planned procedure that you want to delete.

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Treatment Plan, Edit dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Treatment Plan, Edit" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access a planned procedure to delete it this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access a planned procedure to delete it this one time, do the following:

On the message, click Yes.

In the Password - Treatment Plan, Edit dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

The Edit or Delete Procedure dialog box appears.

Click Delete.

If applicable, do one of the following:

To quickly delete one or more planned procedures by right-clicking, do the following:

In the Treatment Plan Case Setup section of the Navigation panel, open the folder of a case with procedures.

Select the treatment-planned procedures that you want to delete.

Right-click one of the selected procedures, and then click Delete Procedure(s).

A confirmation message appears.

Click OK.

To quickly delete one or more planned procedures by clicking a button, do the following:

With a case selected in the Treatment Plan Case Setup section of the Navigation panel, select the treatment-planned procedures that you want to delete in the Progress Notes pane.

Click the Delete button .

A confirmation message appears.

Click OK.
