Once you save an exam, you can delete it if the month in which the exam was done has not been closed out.
Note: Deleting perio exams requires the "Perio Chart, Delete Exam" security right.
To delete an existing exam
In Perio Chart, make sure that you are not viewing the exam that you want to delete.
On the File menu, click Open Existing Exam.
The Perio Chart Open dialog box appears.
Select the exam that you want to delete.
Note: You cannot delete the exam that is currently open.
Click Delete.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Perio Chart, Delete Exam dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Perio Chart, Delete Exam" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Perio Chart, Delete Exam" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Perio Chart, Delete Exam" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can delete a perio exam this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Perio Chart, Delete Exam" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can delete a perio exam this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Perio Chart, Delete Exam dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
A confirmation message appears.
Click OK to permanently delete the exam.
