Perio Chart is a dependent module that you can open only from Chart.
Note: Accessing Perio Chart requires the "Perio Chart, Open" security right.
To open Perio Chart
With a patient selected in Chart, do one of the following:
Click the Perio button on the toolbar.
If the patient has at least one exam, the button is blue.
If the patient does not have any perio exams, the button is gray.
On the Options menu, click Perio.
If the Password - Perio Chart, Open dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Perio Chart, Open" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Perio Chart, Open" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Perio Chart, Open" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access Perio Chart this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
Perio Chart opens, and one of the following occurs:
If the patient does not have a perio exam for today, a new exam is started.
Notes:
Perio Chart provider is the provider who is selected in Chart.
If the patient has a past exam, the data chart displays the data from that exam; otherwise, the data chart is blank.
If the patient has an existing perio exam for today, the exam is displayed, and Perio Chart provider is the provider who was selected when the exam was saved.
Note: When you open Perio Chart, the actions that you have been granted permission to perform appear in the lower-right corner. If you attempt to perform an action in Perio Chart that is prohibited, a user with adequate security rights can override the restriction temporarily so you can complete the task.
