Opening Continuing Care

You can view continuing care information for a specific patient/guarantor and his or her family members, or you can view continuing care information for the all patients.

To open Continuing Care

Do one of the following:

For a specific patient/guarantor and his or her family members:

With a patient selected in Chart, Ledger, or Family File, click the Continuing Care button on the toolbar.

With a patient selected in Document Center or Treatment Planner, click the Continuing Care button on the toolbar.

With a guarantor selected in Collections Manager, click the Continuing Care button on the toolbar.

With a patient selected in Chart, Ledger, Family File, Document Center, or Treatment Planner, on the File menu, point to Switch To, and then click Continuing Care.

With a guarantor selected in Collections Manager, on the File menu, click Continuing Care.

For all patients:

In Appointment Book or Office Manager, click the Continuing Care button on the toolbar.

In Appointment Book, on the File menu, point to Switch To, and then click Continuing Care.

In Office Manager, on the File menu, click Continuing Care.

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Continuing Care, Open dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Continuing Care, Open" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Continuing Care, Open" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Continuing Care, Open" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access Continuing Care this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Continuing Care, Open" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access Continuing Care this one time, do the following:

On the message, click Yes.

In the Password - Continuing Care, Open dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

The Continuing Care view that was used the last time that you accessed Continuing Care begins loading.

Note: To cancel the loading of the view and select another view, click Abort. Click OK on the message that appears. Then, on the Views menu, click the name of a pre-defined or the temporary view (the temporary view can only be used once; it will not be saved when you close Continuing Care).
