The Patient Visits page can display the following metrics:
Total Patient Visits – This totals strip displays the number of visits.
The count includes broken appointments if the Include Broken Appt to Patient Visits checkbox is selected under Filters.
The count does not include broken appointment if the Include Broken Appt to Patient Visits checkbox is clear under Filters.
A Visit occurs when one or more of the specified completed procedures are posted for a patient on a given day.
The Number of Visits is the number of Visits that meet the following criteria:
The procedure code is for any of the specified codes or any of the specified broken appointment codes.
The procedure code category is any of the specified categories.
The date is within the specified time period.
The clinic is any of the specified clinics.
The provider is an active provider who is any of the specified providers whose specialty is any of the specified specialties.
The billing type of the associated patient is any of the specified billing types.
Total Broken and Missed Appointments – This totals strip displays the number of broken and missed appointments.
A Missed Visit occurs when one of the specified broken appointment codes is posted for a patient on a given day.
The Number of Missed Visits is the number of Missed Visits that also meet the following criteria:
The procedure code category is any of the specified categories.
The date is within the specified time period.
The clinic is any of the specified clinics.
The provider is an active provider who is any of the specified providers whose specialty is any of the specified specialties.
The billing type of the associated patient is any of the specified billing types.
Patient Visits by Clinics – This summary tile displays the number of visits and of broken/missed appointments in each clinic.
A Visit occurs when one or more of the specified completed procedures are posted for a patient on a given day.
The Number of Clinic Visits is the number of Visits in a clinic that is one of the specified clinics.
A Missed Visit occurs when one of the specified broken appointment codes is posted for a patient on a given day.
The Number of Clinic Missed Visits is the number of Missed Visits in a clinic that is one of the specified clinics.
A Visit or Missed Visit must also meet the following criteria:
The procedure code category is any of the specified categories.
The date is within the specified time period.
The provider is an active provider who is any of the specified providers whose specialty is any of the specified specialties.
The billing type of the associated patient is any of the specified billing types.

The Number of Primary Provider Visits is the number of Visits with an active primary provider who is one of the specified providers whose specialty is any of the specified primary specialties.
A Missed Visit occurs when one of the specified broken appointment codes is posted for a patient on a given day.
The Number of Primary Provider Missed Visits is the number of Missed Visits with an active primary provider who is one of the specified providers whose specialty is any of the specified primary specialties.
A Visit or Missed Visit must also meet the following criteria:

A Missed Visit occurs when one of the specified broken appointment codes is posted for a patient on a given day.
The Number of Secondary Provider Missed Visits is the number of Missed Visits with an active secondary provider who is one of the specified providers whose specialty is any of the specified secondary specialties.
