After activating this feature, you must grant eligible providers access to Meaningful Use, so return to the Meaningful Use settings dialog box to set up users. Click User Access.

The User Access dialog box appears.

Do any of the following:

Click Add to select a Provider.

Select a user, and then click Activate/Inactivate to change that provider's status. When you inactivate a provider license, that license is still associated with that provider until after the expiration date, at which time, if you have renewed your subscription, you can associate that license with another provider if you have enough licenses.

Important: For a provider who you no longer want to have access to Meaningful Use after the expiration date, you must inactivate that provider before the expiration date, or else that provider will automatically be associated with a new license when you renew your subscription. For example, you have purchased10 licenses, and all of those licenses get assigned to Doctors A through J. Then, Doctor A, who is using one of those licenses, leaves the practice. If you do not inactivate his provider license before the expiration date, when you renew those 10 licenses, Doctor A will get a new license automatically, which leaves Doctor K, who is replacing Doctor A, without a license. You would have to purchase additional licenses in order to provide Doctor K with a license.
