Seeing more or less detail in Office Journal

When you open Office Journal initially, journal entries for the past month appear. In the list, entries are grouped by date. You can expand or collapse dates as needed to view the corresponding entries. Each entry has a symbol to help you quickly identify which type of entry it is. With an entry selected on the left, you can view additional details on the right.

To expand or collapse the list

In Office Journal, do any of the following as needed:

To expand every date in the list to show the corresponding entries, do one of the following:

Click the Expand List button on the toolbar.

On the View menu, click Expand List.

To collapse every date in the list to show only the dates, do one of the following:

Click the Collapse List button on the toolbar.

On the View menu, click Collapse List.

To show or hide additional information for a journal entry

In Office Journal, with or without a journal entry selected, do any of the following as needed:

If the information panel is hidden, to show the panel, do one of the following:

Click the Show Info button on the toolbar.

On the View menu, click Show Info.

If the information panel is visible, to hide the panel, do one of the following:

Click the Hide Info button on the toolbar.

On the View menu, click Hide Info.

Note: When you close Office Journal, the state of the information panel (whether it is visible or hidden) is saved for the next time you open Office Journal.
