With the Outcome feature, which must be purchased separately from Dentrix Enterprise, you can assess possible oral health outcomes, such as the risk of caries, for a patient based on particular diseases, conditions, and/or exposures specified that pertain to the patient. (Outcome is a third-party service provided by Quintiles.) Before you can use Outcome, you must subscribe to Outcome in Office Manager.
To use the Outcome add-on
In Chart, select a patient.
Do one of the following:
Click
the Outcome Module button 
on the toolbar.
On the File menu, click Outcome Module.
The Outcome Oral Health window appears.
Do one of the following:
To complete a new survey, do the following:
In the Available Forms list, select a form.
Click New.
On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes.
The Outcome Oral Health Survey window appears.
Answer each question on the form to provide enough information to determine a score for the assessment. The questions presented will vary based on the form selected and the age of the patient.
Note: To clear a response to a question, click the corresponding C button.
The Auto Score is determined automatically, but you can select a Manual Score to override the automatic score.
If the form is incomplete, you can view those errors by clicking the plus ([+]) next to Errors. To view recommendations for the patient based on the patient's score, click the plus([+]) next to Guidelines.
Click Save and Exit Form.
Close the window.
On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes to save the survey in Dentrix Enterprise.
Note: You can save only one copy of the form per day for the patient.
To delete an existing survey, do the following:
In the Completed Forms list, select the survey that you want to delete.
Click Delete.
On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes.
To view or update an existing survey, do the following:
In the Completed Forms list, select the survey that you want to view or update.
Click Edit/View.
The Outcome Oral Health Survey window appears.
Make the necessary changes.
Click Save and Exit Form.
Close the window.
On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes to save the updated survey in Dentrix Enterprise.
To close the Outcome Oral Health window, click Close.
