To avoid simultaneous work on the same ERA file, an ERA file can have a session associated with it. Be aware of the following functionality if multiple users manage ERA files:
If you double-click an ERA in the upper list of the Insurance Collection Manager window, a new session is created automatically. If another user attempts to open the ERA file that is associated with the active session, a message appears and notifies the user that someone else is currently working on the file.
An active session is saved automatically after 12 hours.
If you attempt to close the Batch Insurance Payment Entry - Electronic dialog box, click either Next ERA or the Select ERA search button , or select Manual as the Batch Entry Type, a message appears and asks if you want to save the session. Click Yes to save the session or No to not save it.
A saved session is available for the session owner and is highlighted in the Insurance Collection Manager window. If another user attempts to open the saved session, a message appears.
Clicking OK ends the session for the first user and creates a new session for the second user.
Clicking Cancel keeps the saved session for the first user.
