You can associate an employer with an insurance plan to make it easier to find the correct insurance plan (in a long list of plans) to attach to a patient. You can also attach an employer to a patient. You can generate a report that lists employers and employees if you ever need to see this information in one place. Employers that are attached to patients can appear on several reports. Having employer information on hand can also be beneficial in case you need to contact the patient's employer.
Whenever you add a new employer and attach it to a patient, that employer is available for selection to attach to other patients. This can make the process of attaching an employer faster because you enter information for each employer only once.
Note: In Office Manager, you can maintain all the employer records in your database.
