You can select the printer that you want to use with this computer for printing documents and the Document Center List from Document Center.
Note: Selecting a Document Center printer requires the "Document Center Setup" security right.
To select a printer
In Document Center, on the Setup menu, click Printer.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Document Center Setup dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Document Center Setup" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Document Center Setup" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Document Center Setup" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can select Document Center printer this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Document Center Setup" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can select Document Center printer this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Document Center Setup dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
The Printer Setup dialog box appears.
In the Select Printer list, select a printer.
Note: Only printers that have been installed and configured properly for Windows appear in the list.
Under Picture Scaling, select one of the following options to specify how you want Document Center to scale the images that you print:
Fit to Page - To fit the image on a single page.
1/3 Page - To have the image scaled to fit on 1/3 of a page.
Actual Size - To print the image at its actual size.
Note: Printing an image at its actual size may cause it to be printed on more than one page.
To include footers on printed pages, select the Include Footers checkbox.
Note: For a patient's documents, the footer includes the following information: the reference date; the patient's last name, first name, middle initial, preferred name, and chart number; and the page number. For another entity's (provider, staff member, employer, referral, or insurance plan) documents, this information varies slightly.
Click OK.
