You can specify what you want to view in the progress notes. For example, you can choose to display only treatment-planned procedures, or you can choose to display treatment-planned procedures and conditions.
Note: Each user can have different view settings for the progress notes. Dentrix Enterprise saves view settings automatically, so any customizations stay in effect for the next time you open Chart.
To view the progress notes by status
With a patient selected in Chart, expand the View menu.
The options with check marks next to them correspond to the items that are currently being viewed in the progress notes. The options without check marks next to them correspond to the items that are currently hidden from the progress notes.
Click any of the following options:
Treatment Plan - If a check mark appears, to hide treatment-planned procedures, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display treatment-planned procedures, click this option.
Completed Work - If a check mark appears, to hide completed procedures, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display completed procedures, click this option.
Existing Work - If a check mark appears, to hide existing and existing-other work, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display existing and existing-other work, click this option. Invalidated conditions and diagnoses may also appear according to the view setting.
Conditions - If a check mark appears, to hide conditions and diagnoses, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display conditions and diagnoses, click this option. Invalidated conditions and diagnoses may also appear according to the view setting.
Exams - If a check mark appears, to hide perio exams, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display perio exams, click this option.
Clinical Notes - If a check mark appears, to hide clinical notes, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display clinical notes, click this option.
Consent Forms - If a check mark appears, to hide saved consent forms, click this option. If a check mark does not appear, to display saved consent forms, click this option.
Repeat steps 1-2 as needed to hide or display other items.
Note: You can also change the view options on the Progress Notes panel.
