With Guru, you can save and associate images with specific patients so that you can review images from previous visits. If Dentrix Image (version 4.5 with Component Update 7 or newer) and Guru (version 4.0 or newer) are installed, and a patient is selected in Chart, you can copy images from Dentrix Image (DEXIS) to Guru.
To copy images from Dentrix Image to Guru
With a patient selected in Chart, on the Image panel, select the images that you want to copy to Guru.
Note: Selected images have a green border around them.
Click the Open
in Guru button 
on the toolbar.
Guru opens for the selected patient, and the selected images are copied to the Thumbnail Tray pane in Guru.
Note: If a selected image on the Image panel has multiple images (for example, an exam), the images are copied to Guru as individual images.
Drag the images to the Patient's Record pane to save the images in Guru.
Note: Images are converted from their native .vns file format to the .jpg format when they are saved in Guru.
