If Dentrix Image is installed, you can access any images that were acquired or imported into Dentrix Image for a patient on the Image panel in Chart.
To view the Image panel
With a patient selected in Chart, on the View menu, verify that the Display Images in Chart option has a check mark next to it; if it does not, click that option to allow you to view the Image panel.
Note: If Display Images in Chart does not have a check mark next to it, when you attempt to view the Image panel, Dentrix Image will open instead.
Do one of the following:
Click the Patient Images button on the toolbar.
Note: If the Image panel is already being viewed, clicking this button hides the Image panel.
On the View menu, click Patient Images if the option does not have a check mark next to it.
Note: If Patient Images has a check mark next to it, the Image panel is already being viewed, so clicking this option hides the Image panel.
The Image panel appears at the bottom of the Chart window.
Note: If the patient images are not visible on the Image panel, it might be because of the combination of the dimensions of the Chart window and aspect ratio of the monitor's display. This is especially true if you are using a widescreen monitor, and Chart is maximized to fill the whole display. To correct this problem, click the Restore button on the Chart window's title bar if the window is maximized, and then resize the Chart window so that the difference between the width and height is not so much; try to fill as much of the monitor's display as you can without letting the patient images disappear. The size of the window will be saved automatically for the next time you open Chart.
On the Image panel, do any of the following as needed:
To filter the images by type, click any of the tabs at the top of the panel:
Click the All tab to view images in all categories.
Click the Intraoral, Cosmetic, Photo ID, Movies, X-rays, or Misc tab to view only the images that are assigned to that category.
Click the Unassigned tab to view only the images that are not assigned to a category.
To filter the images by date, from the date list in the upper-right corner of the panel, either select <All> to view images that were acquired on any date (this is the only available option if the patient has images only for one date), or select a date to view only the images that were acquired on that date.
If not all images are being displayed on the panel, to navigate through the patient's images, click the Next and Previous buttons as needed.
