To print a patient's dental chart
With a patient selected in Chart, on the File menu, click Print Dental Chart.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Print Charts or Progress Notes dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Print Charts or Progress Notes" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Print Charts or Progress Notes" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Print Charts or Progress Notes" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can print a Chart report this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Print Charts or Progress Notes" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can print a Chart report this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Print Charts or Progress Notes dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
The Print Options dialog box appears.
Set up the following options:
Top Margin - To not include a margin at the top of the page, leave zero (0) entered in the box. To include a margin, in the box, enter the number of inches that you want the margin to be.
Print Todays Work - With this check box selected, the report includes completed treatment that was posted today; otherwise, completed treatment is not included.
Print Treatment Plan - With this checkbox selected, the report includes planned treatment that was posted today; otherwise, planned treatment is not included.
With the Print Treatment Plan checkbox selected, the Print TP Estimate Detail checkbox is available. To include a list of planned treatment and the billed amount, patient portion, and insurance portion of each, select the Print TP Estimate Detail checkbox; otherwise, clear the checkbox to not include the detailed list.
Print Chart as Displayed - With this checkbox selected, the report includes the graphical chart; otherwise, the graphical chart is not included.
Print Selected Images - If you are using Dentrix Image (DEXIS), this checkbox and its subordinate checkboxes are available. To include patient images, select this checkbox. With this checkbox selected, to include notes and/or annotations, select the applicable checkboxes.
Click OK.
The report is sent to the Chart printer.
The report contains the following information:
Patient Information - The patient's name, birth date, chart number, and Social Security Number appear on the report.
Graphical Chart - If Print Chart as Displayed is selected when setting options for this report, the graphical chart appears on the report.
Today's Work - If Print Today’s Work is selected when setting up options to run this report, the procedures that were completed on the current date are displayed and totaled.
Treatment Plan Estimate - If Print Treatment Plan and Print TP Estimate Details are selected when setting up options to run this report, the patient’s treatment-planned procedures and total estimate appear below the graphical chart.
