Editing appointments

You change the detailsĀ (provider, reasons, time, notes, and so on) of an appointment as needed.

Notes:

To quickly change the length of the appointment, click the gray square in the lower-right corner of the appointment tile, which causes the cursor to turn into a double-headed arrow, and then drag the bottom edge of the appointment tile up or down. While you are dragging, a small box appears and shows the length, in minutes, of the appointment.

If the patient or your office has to cancel the appointment, and it will need to be rescheduled at a later time, click Wait/Will Call to move the appointment to the Unscheduled List. When the patient calls back to schedule the appointment, you can schedule it from the Unscheduled List so you do not have to re-enter the information.

When editing an appointment, if the patient is late according to a clinic setting, the Late Appt check box is available and selected. If your user account has been granted the "Appointment, Late Status" security right, you can clear or select the Late Appt checkbox as needed.
