Sending an e-mail message

Using the Dentrix Send Message feature, you can easily send e-mail messages from the Dentrix module you are using.

To send an e-mail message

1.   From any Dentrix module except the Office Manager, select a patient.

2.   From the module's toolbar, click the Send Message button.

Dentrix attempts to open your e-mail program (which may take a few seconds), and a message appears. If you added an e-mail address for the patient in the Family File, Dentrix automatically adds the patient’s e-mail address in the To line. If you have not added the patient's e-mail address to the Family File, you must enter the address manually.

3.   Write the text of your message and click Send.

Note: In order for the Send Message function to work properly you must have e-mail capability on your computer. To send e-mail, you must have an electronic mail program that supports MAPI function calls, such as Microsoft Outlook or other electronic mail programs. You also need a modem, Internet access, a phone connection, and properly configured hardware devices and programs. The Dentrix Support staff has extensive experience in supporting the Dentrix software; however, they are not authorized to answer questions or solve problems related to any of the components listed above.
