Creating new lab cases for patients

You can create new lab cases from the Appointment Book, the Chart, and the Treatment Planner.

Note: You must first log in to the DDX Desktop to view or create lab cases.

To create a new lab case for a patient

1.   In the Appointment Book, the Chart, or the Treatment Planner, select an appointment or a patient, respectively.

2.   In the toolbar, click DDX, and then from the menu, click New DDX Lab Case Prescription.

The Schedule a New Case - Select a Lab page appears.

3.   Select the lab that you want to use from the My Labs list, and then click Use Lab.

The Schedule a New Case - Patient Details page appears.

4.   As necessary under Work Requested, change the Send Date, select a Procedure, and/or select an Enclosures option.

5.   Under Notes, type any appropriate notes.

6.   Select I accept all Terms and Conditions, and then click Submit Case.
