Joining employers

Joining employers merges two employers into one and moves all of the employees from a “source” employer to a “destination” employer.

Important: You must close all Dentrix modules on every computer in your practice before joining employers; otherwise, you risk corrupting your database. After closing all modules, open the Office Manager on a single computer to make the necessary changes.

To join employers

1.   From the Maintenance menu in the Office Manager, point to Reference and click Employer Maintenance.

The Employer Maintenance dialog box appears.

2.   Click Join Employers.

The Join Employers dialog box appears.

3.   Click the Source Employer search button.

The Select Employer dialog box appears.

4.   Select the employer that you want to join to the destination employer and click OK.

5.   Click the Destination Employer search button.

The Select Employer dialog box appears.

6.   Select the employer that you want to join the source employer to and click OK.

7.   Click Join.

A message appears.

8.   To move all employees from the source employer to the destination employer, click Yes.

A message appears.

9.   To close the message, click OK.
