Running a Provider Aging Report

You can use the Provider Aging Report to see aged balances for patients according to transaction provider (not primary provider) with various options. You can preview, print, or send via email previously generated reports at any time after you have generated them.

To run a Provider Aging Report

1.   In the Office Manager toolbar, click the Dentrix Reports button.

The Dentrix Reports window appears.

2.   Under Reports, double-click Provider Aging Report.

The Provider Aging Report dialog box appears.

3.   To run the report with the default settings, click OK.

The Provider Aging Report is listed, and a preview of the report appears.

Note: To view the data, you may need to enlarge the Dentrix Reports window, and go to the end of the report to view any graphs or charts.

4.   To modify the default settings in the Provider Aging Report dialog box, do one or more of the following:

·        Calculate Aged Balances – You can calculate aged balances using one of the following options:

·        As of – Select to calculate aged balances as of the date you type or select by clicking the Date Picker icon. Default is the current date.

·        As of – (Default) Select to calculate aged balances as of the following options:

·        Today (Default) – Calculates aged balances as of today's date.

·        Yesterday – Calculates aged balances as of yesterday from the system date when the report was generated.

·        Last week – Calculates aged balances as of seven days from the system date when the report was generated.

·        Last month – Calculates aged balances as of one month from the system date when the report was generated.

·        3 months ago – Calculates aged balances as of three months ago. For example, if you generate a report on June 2, 2022, the aging for the balances will start on March 1, 2022.

·        6 months ago – Calculates aged balances as of six months ago. With this option, if you generate a report on June 2, 2022, the aging for the balances will start on December 1, 2021.

·        Last year – Calculates aged balances as of 1 year ago. For example, if you generate a report June 2, 2022, the aging for the balances will start on June 1, 2021.

·        Include Provider Balances By – Select to include provider balances by Family (default) or Patient.

·        Sort/Group By – Select to sort or group the report by Family/Patient (default) or Provider.

·        Include Transactions By – Sets options to include procedures by entry date or procedure date.

·        Entry Date – Select to include all transactions entered in the selected date range.

·        Procedure Date – (Default) Select to include all transactions posted in the derived date range.

·        Select Guarantor/Patient – Select to sort the report by all guarantor/patient names (default). To change the range, click the From: and To: search icons, and then select the desired guarantor/patient from the Select Guarantor dialog box.

·        Include Guarantor Note – Select to have each account's guarantor note print on the report.

·        Generate Data File for Export – Select to generate a comma-separated file that you can export.

·        Select Providers – Defaults to all providers. To change the default, click the Select all icon , and then select the providers that you want to include in the report. Or, type the provider's name in the Search box.

·        Select Billing Types – Defaults to all billing types. To change the default, click the Select all icon , and then select the billing types that you want to include in the report. Or, type the description of the billing type in the Search text box.

5.   To save any changes you made to the default settings, click Save Options.

6.   To manage any saved options, click the Manage Saved Options icon .

The Manage Options dialog box appears.

7.   Do one of the following:

·        To rename the option, select it, click the Rename Selected Item icon, and then type a new name.

·        To delete the option, select it, and then click the Delete Selected Item icon.

Important: You can only rename or delete options that you have created.
