Viewing scheduled and actual production
You can view the scheduled and actual production for a given day or week. The amounts are available in numerical and graphical form.
Notes:

Actual gross production reflects the sum of expected incomes without any discounts or adjustments having been deducted. This could be used as an indicator of a provider's efficiency, especially for recare scheduling effectiveness.

Actual net production reflects the cleared amount or take home pay for a location in your organization. This could be used for predicting the real incomes from computations based on planned work and could be used for salary calculations and determining a location's profitability. Actual net production is calculated by subtracting estimated insurance write-offs and applied credit adjustments that affect production from the procedure charges. Optionally, the actual net production can include charge adjustments, and/or unapplied credit adjustments can be deducted from the actual net production.

The production amounts are calculated based on each scheduled procedure having one of the following statuses: Planned, Completed, or Other. However, Planned procedures that are not scheduled are excluded from calculations.
To view the scheduled and actual production

On the Schedule menu, click (or tap) Calendar.
The Calendar page opens.

Navigate to a day or week.

Do any of the following:

With the week view, to view the production totals for each day of the week, click (or tap) the corresponding View Gross and View Net links.

With the day view, to view the production totals for the day being displayed, click (or tap) the corresponding View Gross and View Net links.

With the day view or the week view, if you are viewing the schedule by provider or operatory, to view the net production totals for an appointment, click (or tap) the corresponding Show production link.

With the day view or the week view, if you are viewing the schedule by provider, to view the net production totals for each provider being displayed, click (or tap) the corresponding Show production link.

To view the production totals by week or month, click (or tap) Production Totals in the upper-right corner.
The Production Totals dialog box appears.

On the Week tab, which is selected by default, totals for the week currently being displayed on the Calendar page appear. Do any of the following while viewing weekly totals:

To navigate to a previous week, click (or tap) < 1 w. To navigate to a future week, click (or tap) 1 w >. To navigate to the current week, click (or tap) Today.

To switch to a table view, click (or tap) the Change to Table View link. The totals are grouped by day of the week and then by provider. Expand a day to view provider subtotals.
To return to the graph view, click (or tap) the Change to Graphic View link.

On the Month tab, totals for the month appear. Do any of the following while viewing monthly totals:

To navigate to a previous month, click (or tap) < 1 m. To navigate to a future month, click (or tap) 1 m >. To navigate to the current month, click (or tap) Today.

The totals are grouped by provider, by week, and then by day. Expand a provider to view week subtotals, and expand a week to view daily subtotals.

On the Week or Month tab, to filter the totals by provider, click (or tap) the link next to Showing for. The Provider Filter pop-up box appears. Click (or tap) a white space in the box provided to display a list. Either select All Providers to display totals for all providers, or select each provider whose totals you want to view one at a time to view those providers' totals. To include totals for multiple providers, you must select each provider one at a time. Then, click (or tap) Refresh.

If a change occurs that affects production (such as someone scheduling an appointment or changing the procedures attached to an appointment) while you are viewing the Calendar page or the Location Production dialog box, do one of the following to recalculate the production totals:

If you are viewing the Calendar page, click (or tap) a Renew icon

By week - To update the Gross or Net totals for a day of the week.

By day - To update the Gross or Net totals for the day.

By day or week and by operatory - To update the Net totals for an appointment.

By day or week and by provider - To update the Net totals for a provider or an appointment.
Note: When you update a provider's totals, the totals for the corresponding appointments update automatically, so you do not have to update the totals for each appointment one at a time.

If you are viewing the Location Production dialog box, click (or tap) Refresh Values.
