Viewing Denti-Cal reports
In Dentrix Ascend, you can view up to the past 35 days of Denti-Cal reports.
Notes:

Each location in your organization has its own Denti-Cal reports inbox.

Viewing Denti-Cal reports requires the "Review Denti-Cal Reports" security right.
To view Denti-Cal reports

If the location that you are logged in to has unread messages in its inbox, a red dot with a number appears next to your user name on the User menu. The number on the dot indicates the total number of unread messages, online payments, Denti-Cal reports, and ERAs for that location.
On the User menu, under Inbox, click (or tap) Denti-Cal.
The Inbox page opens with the Denti-Cal Reports tab selected. The Denti-Cal reports that have been sent to your location appear.
Note: Currently, the Denti-Cal inbox has some limitations:

The Denti-Cal inbox receives only regular Denti-Cal reports that were processed after the Denti-Cal inbox feature was implemented in Dentrix Ascend.

The Denti-Cal inbox does not receive Denti-Cal ERAs/EOBs.

Do any of the following as needed:

To filter the list by status, on the View menu, select whether you want to view read reports, unread reports, or both. Select whether you want to view completed reports, uncompleted reports, or both. Then, click (or tap) Done.

To search for reports by file name, patient name, report type, or other piece of information, enter your search criteria in the Search by File Name/Contents box, and then press Enter (or click, or tap, the Search for [text] option that appears). Up to four weeks of reports are displayed.

To search for reports by date, click (or tap) in the Search by Date box, and then select the desired date (today, yesterday, or a specific date) or date range (last 7 days, this month, last month, or a custom range).

To view a report's data, expand a time frame (such as Today, Yesterday, or Last week), and then select the report. The report is marked as Read automatically.
Note: The number that is associated with each time frame represents the number reports in that section that are marked as Not Complete.

To print a report's data, while viewing that report's data, click (or tap) Print.

If a report has been marked as Read, to mark it as Unread, while viewing that report's data, click (or tap) Mark Unread.
Note: An Unread report appears in a bold typface in the list.

When you finish with a report, to mark it as Complete, while viewing that report's data, click (or tap) Mark Complete.
Note: A Complete report has a green check mark symbol next to it in the list.

If a report has been marked in error as Complete, to mark it as Not Complete, click (or tap) Mark Not Complete.

To permanently delete a report, while viewing that report's data, click (or tap) Delete. On the confirmation message that appears, click (or tap) Delete.

To associate a report with an outstanding claim, while viewing that report, do the following:

In the Search Patient/Claims box, enter the name of the patient to whom the selected report pertains.
Important: Denti-Cal reports may contain information for multiple patients. To associate a report with an outstanding claim, verify that the selected report contains information for only one patient.

Select the correct patient from the list of matches.
The Denti-Cal Report dialog box appears.

Set up the following options:

View Claim Detail - To open the Claim Detail dialog box for the patient's claim so you can add a status note to the claim.

Copy Report to Document Manager - To copy the report to the patient's Document Manager.

Click (or tap) Continue.

If the Claim Detail dialog box appears, on the Status/Notes tab, click (or tap) Add Note, enter a message in the Note box, and then click (or tap) the Completed button . Then, click (or tap) Save.

To quickly navigate to the Unresolved Claims page, while viewing any report, click (or tap) the Unresolved Claims link.
