Requiring expiration dates for discount plans
You can specify if an expiration date must be entered when a "Basic (uninsured)" discount plan is added to a patient's record.
Note: Changing whether expiration dates are required or not affects all locations in your organization.
To require expiration dates for discount plans

On the Settings menu, click (or tap) Ledger Options. The Ledger Options page opens.

Select the Ledger Rules tab.  
- 
Under Other, set the Require expiration date for discount plans switch to Yes. Note: With this requirement turned off, an expiration date can still be entered, but is not required, when adding a discount plan to a patient's record.

Click (or tap) Save.
