Patient Health Report

The Patient Health Report displays health statistics in the current location for the past calendar month, but you can select other locations and change the date range as needed. The report displays the number of evaluations, number of healthy evaluations, and the percentage of healthy patients in each location selected for the report. The report also displays the total number of evaluations, the total number of healthy evaluations, and the total percentage of healthy patients in all locations selected for the report. The report displays the name and service date of each patient and groups them by healthy and unhealthy. The report focuses on cavities to determine healthiness.

To view the Patient Health Report

  1. On the Home menu, under Reports, click (or tap) Insights.

    The Insights page opens.

  2. In the Patients box, click (or tap) the Patient Health link.

    The Patient Health Report page opens.

  3. Set up the following options:

    • Locations - The health statistics will be calculated for the selected locations. Do any of the following:

      • Select the All checkbox to view health statistics for all locations.

      • Select the checkboxes next to any of the location names to view the health statistics for each of those locations.

      • Click (or tap) Select Locations to select or deselect locations.

      Note: Only locations that you have access to are available.

    • Date Range - The date or date range of the procedures and conditions to include on the report. Leave the last month selected, or select a specific date or date range (this month, this year, last year, or a custom range).

  4. Click (or tap) Search.

  5. Expand Healthy Patients and/or Unhealthy Patients to view the corresponding patient names and service dates.

  6. To print the report, click (or tap) Print.

A returning patient is counted on the report if he or she has an Active status and one of the following evaluation procedures has not been completed on his or her first visit date:

  • D0120 (Periodic Evaluation)

  • D0140 (Limited Evaluation)

  • D0145 (Evaluation of Young Patient)

  • D0150 (Comprehensive Evaluation)

  • D0160 (Detailed & Extensive Evaluation)

  • D0180 (Periodontal Evaluation)

  • D0190 (Screening of Patient)

  • D0191 (Assessment of Patient)

  • D4910 (Periodontal Maintenance)

A patient is considered healthy if the following criteria are met:

  • The following caries-related conditions have not been posted within the date range of the report:

    • 106309D (Enamel caries)

    • 108562D (Tongue finding)

    • 118065D (Dental caries)

    • 118684D (Incipient enamel caries)

    • 124416D (Non-active dental caries)

    • 139541D (Gingivae finding)

    • 161653D (Dental caries extending into dentin)

    • 161735D (Chronic enamel dental caries)

    • 177200D (Root caries)

    • 177237D (Early childhood caries)

    • 177872D (Susceptible to caries)

    • 179046D (At moderate risk for dental caries)

    • 179051D (At high risk for dental caries)

    • 179067D (At extreme risk for dental caries)

    • 181082D (Nonrestorable carious tooth)

    • 188080D (Cavitated caries)

    • 188100D (Pit and fissure caries)

    • 188644D (Active caries)

    • 188656D (Non-active caries)

    • 188687D (Non-cavitated caries)

    • 188848D (Caries of smooth surface of tooth)

    • 190707D (Rampant dental caries)

    • 199051D (Cementum caries)

  • The following caries-related procedures have not been posted within the date range of the report:

  • The following restorative procedures have not been treatment planned or completed within the date range of the report:

    • Restorative procedures D2000-D2999

    • Alias procedure codes for restorative procedures D2000-D2999
